Welcome to the Garden Suburb Infant School website!
Garden Suburb Infants is a three form entry school, which takes children from reception to year two.
We pride ourselves on our very distinctive curriculum, which promotes creativity and supports cross-curricular links. In 2009 we were awarded a Gold Artsmark by the Arts Council in recognition of the work that we do.
We incorporate healthy eating and physical exercise into our curriculum and equal emphasis is placed on the learning that takes place in both the indoor and outdoor environments. We were awarded both Healthy Schools Status and an Active Mark in 2008.
Our child-centred approach recognises the fact that children learn best by being able to link their learning to their own experiences, by taking part in very practical activities and by learning and developing skills through play.
